Boli Builds an Olive Oil Community
The Social Cooperative 'Boli' is active in the production and distribution of quality olive oil, with an emphasis on sustainability, cooperation, and a direct producer–consumer relationship. Founded in 2026 as a continuation of previous collective efforts, it draws on the experience of its members, who pursue a fair and transparent agri-food model without intermediaries.
The cooperative's objectives include strengthening production, developing innovative practices, expanding the distribution network, and building a community around olive oil. It also promotes consumer education and experiential learning through workshops (tasting, production, uses of olive oil), deepening understanding of the product.
Boli proposes a model of direct producer–consumer connection, with fewer intermediaries, transparency, and fair prices. Its operation is organised around two core groups:
- The Producer Group, which ensures quality, production, and standardisation.
- And the Distribution Group, which organises orders and delivery through collective consumer arrangements.
Particular importance is given to transparency, trust, and community participation, while Boli also acts as a coordinating link between production and distribution. Overall, it seeks to create a fair, cooperative, and sustainable system for producing and consuming olive oil.
